CALL & Language Skills

Today we learned about some useful resources for English studing in different aspects: listening, speaking and pronunciation, reading and writing.
I'd say that most of the resources are quite out-of-date and have very bad design. If I am looking for some web-sites for English learning and see these ones, I won't trust them and try to find something more eye candy and modern.

However I find some of them quite interesting and useful. Here they are.

1. Rosetta Stone

The best way to learn a language is to surround yourself with it, so this method does just that.
It's a great source if you want to improve your pronounciation. What you have to do is just to repeat words and the programme will tell you if you are wrong or right.

2. Grammar Quizzes

This site has a lot of exercises on different topics. So you can choose anything you want and like. I think that grammar is important and you can't study any languahe without it.

3. Longman

Google translate of course is a very convenient  but a good dictionary is something you also need. This dictionary contains meaning, transcriotion and a lot of examples

So today we have a lot of apps and sites that may help us, teach us. You may choose something you like and everything is possible on your way to study English.
